JPL Scout 3100 Wireless PTT Headset Adapter – USB and PJ-7

An Australian First

AAA Headsets was the first Australian headset retailer to receive a pre-release JPL Scout 3100 unit for testing in November 2025. Limited supplies of Scout 3100 units are now arriving in Australia each month or two, but they are in high demand and selling fast. Please contact us if you want to place an order and reserve some Scout 3100 units when the next batch arrives.

PTT for Mission Critical Usage

The JPL Scout 3100 Wireless DECT PTT (Push-to-Talk) Headset Adapter is an ergonomically designed DECT push-to-talk amplifier. It is ideal for use where secure, mission critical, conversations are needed, such as public safety dispatch, air-traffic control, radio dispatch operations, and training simulation.

Features

QD Headset Connection
Effortlessly pairs with all HP Poly HW and EP (EncorePro) corded headsets, with QD (Quick Disconnect) cables. These are the reliable, quality corded headsets,  from HP (previously Plantronics) that we’ve been selling at AAA Headsets for many years. This means you can swap out your old HP/Poly PTT devices for these newer JPL Scout PTT devices.

Push-To-Talk
Experience ergonomic excellence with the JPL Scout. Taking its design from a pistol grip. With your finger naturally resting on the trigger, a seamless push activates the microphone, allowing you to transmit your voice effortlessly. Releasing the trigger instantly mutes the call, giving you complete control at your fingertips. The JPL Scout also includes a LED indicator, illuminating green when the microphone is active and red when muted, ensuring clear visual cues for your convenience.

Multiple Connections in 1 Box
The Scout 3100 comes with 2x USB-C ports and cables – One for power, the other to connect to your computer or radio console. It also comes with a RJ12 (6P6C) to PJ-7 (dual prong) cable for classic style console connections. Finally, it has 2x RJ12 ports, so 1 port can be used to pair 2 bases together in supervisor/training mode.

Hot Swappable Spare Battery
Each Scout 3100 unit comes with 2 batteries that are hot swappable. The first battery powers the remote device. The second spare battery sits in the base charging, or is most likely fully charged, just waiting until you need to use it. When the battery in the remote device is running out of juice, you can swap the batteries during a live call, without dropping the call!

DECT Wireless Security
This ultra-secure DECT™ wireless adapter is the perfect choice anywhere sensitive communications happen. Relax knowing conversations are protected—designed to meet the highest-level DECT™ security Step C requirements. The DECT wireless range for this device is up to 120 metres line-of-sight.
